Tripura’s insurgency-era violence ended with the accords of the 1990s and 2000s, and the generation born since has known only the peace. That generation is now coming of age — and it is in a hurry.

Startups, cafés, sports academies and an aggressive travel scene have sprung up in a state that once emptied of its youth.

‘My parents built the peace,’ one young founder said. ‘My job is to make it worth keeping.’
